Crown Lane School, Nowood, London – UK

The Practice undertook the detailed design and construction stages of this project to provide a new primary school at Streatham Common for the London Borough of Lambeth. Developing a concept design by Building Design Partnership (BDP) the project comprises an elliptical shaped assembly hall, nine classrooms for primary and junior pupils together with staff facilities, catering facilities and external works. The building features brightly coloured windows and rendered panels contrasted with coloured timber boarded walls and metal clad roofs and provides an innovative building form to lead the way for future primary school design and development.
